JOY 24X7 SADHGURU PDF

This two and a half year long process since I conceived the idea was an opportunity for me to reflect on my own limitation and an amazing tool to go beyond some of them. So for me personally, the book, as it is today, is more than just a book. After I went through various programs with Sadhguru including Inner Engineering, BSP and later Samyama, there was this wave of joy sweeping through my life in so many colorful ways. I was wondering how to express this joy, how to share it? I decided that this wave of joy should touch many other people and I thought writing a book would be a wonderful vehicle to do this. I was especially eager that hundreds and thousands of people who have not yet experienced Sadhguru should do so, even if only in a small way through a book.

And I wanted the book to be interesting, quick, short and highly "marketable". Somehow the title Joy 24x7 stuck in mind ever since I conceptualized this book.

When Sadhguru agreed to explore this idea, I was overjoyed. I had a framework for the book - that it would not contain the following: "yoga", "karma", "Shiva", "spirituality". In a way, this looked like killing the essence that this journey seems to be about. When Sadhguru agreed to this framework, I was amazed at his magnanimity and the freedom he offered. At the same time, I was in deep doubt about my naivety and my purpose for doing this.

Expectedly with his eloquence, speed and incisiveness, we got most of the matter from Sadhguru ready in just about two days at the ashram through questions and answers and through a couple of Sathsangs with other volunteers. When he said, "…the way out is through the in-door", I was simply amazed at the way he created this magical perspective in an uncanny, brilliant and striking way. It seemed to me more and more that I had to own Joy 24x7. I had to own every aspect of it to make it a reality.

I often broke down whenever I hit a wall. Was the book "outside" and I had to grasp it or was it "inside" of me and I had to bring it out? I really struggled with the last chapter and last few parts of the books.

Sadhguru threw the "ball" at me and asked me to decide what it should be. This was both joyful and painful. The pain of my ignorance gnawing at me and the joy of the possibility smiling at me. And then, in one Sathsang with him, I found the answer to the elusive last chapter: "Joy will not happen if you change the content of your life, it will only happen if you change the context of your life" he said and I jumped in glee you are allowed to jump in a Sathsang, I guess!

In this journey of joy, there have been some incredible, joyous people who made this book happen. And there have been scores and scores of silent, quiet people helping the project without wanting anything out of their involvement. When I look back, I have a deep sense of gratitude to all these people. It is really their joy that is printed in there. The book seems to have turned out the way I had conceived it, miraculously so.

I wonder then whether the book was "due to happen" and that, as if by pre-ordain, I was working towards it, or was it that since there was a vision and the Grace of the Master helped make this vision a reality? The question still looms in mind… The book has become a compass of sorts for me now.

I remember that famous quote "We must become the change we want to see. I am not Joy 24x7, but I know for sure that I am in very sure and safe hands and that it will happen in spite of "me".

It has to happen. Jeetendra Jain, Isha Meditator, Mumbai.
