And memorization requires drilling oneself on words. This app is perfect for that. The fact that it is keyed to the different sections and lessons is a bonus. If the developer wanted to add a couple of improvements, I would suggest these two: 1. Add a separate field that could be used to enter the declension of nouns, as the JACT textbooks do.
This would help the student learn the class to which the noun belongs as well as its meaning. Why a separate field? See suggestion 2. And to make this more powerful, allow some sorting capabilities on parts of speech and, following up on the suggestion above, sorting on noun classes. Sometimes one might want to drill just on adverbs. Or on nouns of the declension 3c. Or prepositions, etc. Kudos to Matt Neuburg for a great app that eases learning a classical language, helping to bridge the ancient world with the modern.
Four stars only because of the suggested missing elements. This is a very handy app to master the vocabulary for these text. Easy to use and accurate. Thanks for doing this!
